Fredericton Christian Academy is an independent university preparatory K-12 school - and an early childhood learning centre - in Fredericton, New Brunswick. FCA also offers Daycare, Pre-school, After-School, and International (full-year, short-term ESL) programming. FCA is approved and endorsed by the New Brunswick Department of Education.

Phone Free Schools Policy
At FCA, we believe smartphones in schools pose more risks than rewards. Research and our own experience show that phones not only distract from learning but also block the valuable social and personal growth we want for our students. By keeping phones out of the school day, we create an environment where students can focus deeply, practice meaningful face-to-face communication, and strengthen their sense of belonging in our community.
We know this approach requires effort and sacrifice, but like loving parents, we choose what is best for children, not what is most convenient. Learning is challenging, attention spans are short, and smartphones are designed to pull us toward instant gratification. By removing this constant distraction, we give students the freedom and space to develop focus, resilience, and authentic human connection.
School should be a place where friendships grow through conversation, laughter, and shared experiences—not through screens. At FCA, we cultivate an environment that values presence, responsibility, and service to others, guided by the command to love our neighbour as ourselves. In doing so, we prepare our students not only for academic success but also for a life of deeper connection, empathy, and community.

FCA GRADUATES
Close to 100% of our graduates continue their education at top universities/colleges worldwide. Recent FCA graduates have successfully been accepted to McGill University, Mount Allison University, University of Toronto, University of Western Ontario, Dalhousie University, University of Alberta, University of New Brunswick, St. Thomas University, Simon Fraser University, Indiana University, York University, and Baylor University. Also, FCA offers significant scholarships to graduating students, totalling more than $100,000 per year.

The school building is open at 7:30AM.
Kindergarten
Monday to Thursday 8:30AM - 3:00PM

Elementary (Grades 1-5)

Middle School & High School (Grades 6-12):

Transportation & Travel
Parents are responsible for transporting their children to and from school.
FCA busses transport students to and from school activities. Parent are occasionally enlisted to transport students. (Note: We follow NB safety guidelines for student transportation. Any vehicle transporting students must have proper insurance and must be equipped with winter snow tires between October 15th to April 30th.)
School Supplies
The School Supply List is sent out via email by August 1st for the coming school year. If you register after August 1st, be sure to check under Downloads & Resources for the current School Supply List.
Some teachers may add items to the supply list during class time on the first day of school.
After School Supervision
If you require after school care for your child, please contact our Early Childhood Learning Centre to see if there are any openings available in their After School Program.
School Uniforms

FCA is a member of The Association of Christian Schools International (ASCI). ACSI "is a Christian educational organization. We advance excellence in Christian schools by enhancing the professional and personal development of Christian educators and providing vital support functions for Christian schools."
BC OnlineSchool.ca
BC OnlineSchool.caFredericton Christian Academy has partnered with BC Online School.ca to provide greater learning opportunities for our students. Through the online course selection students will have a greater variety of courses to choose from, all from a Christian perspective.
St. Thomas University
St. Thomas University and Fredericton Christian Academy have made an agreement whereby students in their senior year at FCA can take a course from STU, the cost of which would be covered by the university. Students can take an entry level university course and earn a credit toward university, and toward their High School graduation.
University of New Brunswick
UNB has partnered with Fredericton Christian Academy to offer courses to FCA students who are in their senior year. The cost of the course is covered by the university. Students who successfully pass can earn a credit toward university and toward their High School graduation.
Champions Hockey
FCA has partnered with Champions Hockey to offer our students a unique programming opportunity that will provide daily instruction under the leadership of skilled hockey instructors, and will allow student athletes to gain academic credit upon completion.
Crabbe Mountain
FCA has partnered with Crabbe Mountain to offer our students a unique programming opportunity that will provide weekly instruction under the leadership of skilled ski instructors.
IELTS™
FCA is an official International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test centre. IELTS assesses all of your English skills—reading, writing, listening and speaking.
TOEFL®
FCA is an official TOEFL test centre. TOEFL assesses all of your English skills—reading, writing, listening and speaking.
SAT®
Fredericton Christian Academy (FCA) is a College Board SAT® official test site. SAT is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States.
AP® College Board
Fredericton Christian Academy (FCA) is a College Board AP® official test site. "AP helps hundreds of thousands of high school students achieve their college dreams each year. By taking an AP® course and scoring successfully on the related AP Exam, you can save on college expenses: most colleges and universities nationwide offer college credit, advanced placement, or both, for qualifying AP Exam scores.
