Phase II set to launch in September 2022 for Fredericton Christian Academy and Champions Hockey.

After a successful year of growth and fun on ice with student-players in the CHA Development Program, Champions Hockey and Fredericton Christian Academy are excited to announce that Phase II of their partnership will launch in September of 2022. The Champions Hockey Academy Eagles, a U16 male competitive roster, will hit the ice this fall. All student-players were recruited from leagues across the country and will play against other well established Preparatory School Programs across Canada and the United States.

Champions Hockey Academy is also pleased to announce Jon Harty as the inaugural head coach of the U16 Male team for the upcoming 2022/2023 Hockey Season. “We are very excited to have Jon as the first coach for our new U16 Competitive Program. He has a terrific resume and understands the importance of an exceptional student-athlete experience. His wide range of playing experience will be an asset in recruiting, teaching, and mentoring the talented student athletes.” says Stacy Smallman, Academy Director.

Champions Hockey Academy consists of a comprehensive hockey skills academy and team program for both male and female players, blended with the enrollment of these players into Fredericton Christian Academy. In addition to hockey skills, student athletes will receive an exemplary private school education with training and support in sports therapy, nutrition, sports psychology, strength, and conditioning. The goal is for student-athletes to flourish, and not sacrifice school for sports or vice versa.

Fredericton Christian Academy is pleased to be part of this new value-add program and we are confident that our Champions Hockey Academy student-athletes will thrive and become outstanding hockey players, students, and young people of dynamic character for years to come. FCA is thrilled to be part of these student-athletes educational journey and to expand our AAA programming to include a preparatory level hockey team.

The overall goal of the expanded program is to create a community of athletes who not only become superior hockey players, but also positive role models and leaders in their communities.
